ANIMATED WORLD PICTURE GALLERY

The project "World Picture Gallery", directed by Sergei Zarev (Maski TV animation studio) started in 2007. I was happy to be one of some writers taking a part in it. Our team wanted to tell kids about famous artists and their masterpieces. A guide into this wonderful world became Aunt Owl who also teaches kids other subjects in her animated classes. Aunt Owl walks along remarkably decorated show rooms of museums and streets of medieval towns, visits painter's houses and temples, and travels to different countries and ages.

"The World Picture Gallery" is one of our most successful projects. In some regions of Russia and Ukraine it's recommended to use in schools by local education departments. Here you can read some narratives of these animated films. The full version of the animated gallery comprises over 60 short films (10 min):
"Art of Ancient Egypt. Fairy Tale About The Falcon Prince"
"Prehistoric Art. How a boy went for paints"
"Leonardo da Vinci. The Wonderful School of Nature"
"Titian Vechelio. A Story about True Beauty"
"Salvador Dali. An Endless Riddle"
"Claude Monet. The Airy Boat"
"Diego Velasquez. A True Friend of the King"
"Anthony van Dyck. A Baby and a Knight"
"Alma Tadema. Blooming Marble"
and many others.
