THE SEA TREASURE

Part I

It happened quite not far away from here, on the border between two huge kingdoms - woodland and sea. Each of them had its own secrets, its own treasures which were being guarded carefully by unnoticeable force. Their treasures didn't know about each other and they had never even met.

The sea king had a great feast on some occasion. The merriment occupied all the sea: the waves were dancing in their snow-white dresses, the fish was gamboling. And the inhabitants of the bed so muddied the water that they could hardly see each other, but they liked it and the merriment was going on. This time the sea treasure cautiously stuck out of the cave. The invisible force either was sleeping or enjoying itself with the others erit hid thinking of something clear for itself.

The powerful submarine stream seized suddenly the treasure and rapidly carried it through the whole kingdom to the jolly dancing waves. In the dance the waves did not notice how they had thrown their treasure into the thick grass, to the shore of the woodland kingdom.

Part II

In the evening when the sunny fire was going out in the skyline the young woodland prince with his suite went to the seashore. The faithful falcons had already informed him about the thing that the shore of his kingdom preserved and he hurried...

Having jumped off the horse the prince ran to the lying miracle. This was the pearl of great size. It was shining with all the colors of the rainbow and it seemed that it was singing something in its sea language... The prince was surprised at the wonderful pearl, his surroundings were surprised too. But the pearl was sparkling as though it was speaking with colors. And the trees responded to it rustling with leaves and the stars echoed its words twinkling...

So the spellbound prince was standing at the pearl all the night, and when it grew light he turned around and saw that the shore had changed - not the wood was around but wonderful odd palaces, temples, houses... But everything was light, an ethereal like a mirage, and hardly had the wind blown everything disappeared again.

Part III

The prince didn't want to return home, to his capital city, he ordered to build a city here and stayed to live on the shore near the pearl. And the city had grown up. It was like the prince's morning sight. No wind had destroyed this dream any more.

Years had elapsed since then having been warmed by the people, the inhabitants of the city the pearl didn't hurry to return its sea home. It was still shining with the rainbow of colors, talking to sunny rays, and those people who understood them found extraordinary power to create beautiful things.
