Photo story"A Good Sign", by Alex Kalinkin![]() Three dots were moving across the mountain steppe. The horseman galloped nearer. Soon he could make them out already. Those were three riders. They were going at a jog trot and speaking in an easy manner to each other. The strong wind blew from their direction carrying single words. The horseman reined his horse and whispered in its ear something. It tossed its black mane and reared emitting a very strange sound: - "U-u-e-ey-o-o-U!" The riders ahead stopped and stared back at a strange lonely horseman who stood at a distance of a hundred yards from them. He lifted his right hand with opened palm and was gone. The astonished wayfarers gazed for some minutes at the place where he had stood. Then the senior of them, a tall strong man, said rapidly: - "Mountain Stranger. It was a sign. We have to go back home. Something has happened in the settlement." - "Is it something good or something bad?" another rider, a bearded short man, asked. - "Most likely good. I don't know. We'll see." the senior answered shortly. They turned their horses around and hastened back to the settlement that was by the lakeside.
